Enjoy personalized, one-on-one French lessons with Ça et Là co-owner Laurent Farina.

All ages and levels are welcome, from your first bonjour to advanced conversation.

Explore the language through French art, history, literature, and everyday life. Focus on what interests you: travel, pronunciation, grammar, writing, or professional or legal French.

Each lesson includes

• 60 minutes of personalized, individual instruction.
• Your choice of an online lesson over Zoom or an in-person lesson at an agreed-upon location in the Louisville area, at the same rate.
• A curriculum tailored to your level, goals, and interests.

Pricing and packages

✅ 5-Lesson Pack – $225 ($45/lesson, save 10%)
✅ 10-Lesson Pack – $400 ($40/lesson, save 20%)

Booking your lesson

Choose your lesson or package, then select an available date and time. For packages, this books your first lesson only. Laurent will contact you to discuss your goals and confirm the remaining weekly lessons, planned for the same day and time each week, subject to availability.

Meet Laurent

Je me prénomme Laurent.

I was born in Nice, in the South of France. In 2023, I moved to the United States and settled in Louisville with my wife, who is originally from the city. A former lawyer and teacher of international and constitutional law at the University of Nice’s law school, I’m now the co-owner of Ça et Là.

My interests include music, sports, motorcycling, history, and reading. I’m always curious to discover something new, and I enjoy learning about the interests and experiences of the people I meet.

For me, teaching begins with getting to know you: understanding your motivations, discovering your background, and sharing conversations along the way. Every student brings their own personality, experiences, and reasons for learning French, and those differences help shape our lessons together.

For younger students

For students under 13, a parent or guardian should stay nearby during the lesson, whether at the lesson location or nearby during an online lesson. They’re welcome to relax; no need to join in!

Cancellations & rescheduling

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice are non-refundable, but may still be rescheduled at Laurent’s discretion.
